Information we collect
Kindred Tails may collect information you choose to provide through contact messages, adoption, foster and volunteer applications, program-interest forms, partnership inquiries, financial-review requests, and surrender or family-support requests.
Depending on the form, this may include your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, household and housing information, availability, animal-care experience, and the details needed to evaluate a request responsibly.
Animal information
Surrender and support requests may include an animal’s photograph, health history, veterinary contacts, vaccination or medical records, medications, behavior, bite history, household relationships, and placement timeline.
Messages and replies
Messages are saved in the private Kindred Tails administrative inbox so authorized team members can review, organize, and respond. Email notifications may also be sent to designated Kindred Tails addresses.
Payment information
Donations and sponsorship payments are processed on external payment platforms. Kindred Tails does not ask you to enter payment-card information into its public website forms.
Technical information
The website host and security systems may process ordinary technical records such as IP addresses, browser information, timestamps, requested pages, and error or security logs.

Kindred Tails does not sell or rent personal information. Information may be shared only as reasonably necessary with authorized volunteers, foster or placement partners, veterinary professionals, service providers, government or animal-welfare authorities, or other parties involved in responding to a request, protecting safety, meeting legal duties, or operating the organization.
Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, Social Security numbers, or unrelated sensitive records through general contact or chat forms.
Retention, correction, and deletion
Information is retained for as long as reasonably needed to evaluate and document requests, communicate with you, support animal-welfare operations, resolve disputes, protect safety, and satisfy legal, financial, insurance, or organizational recordkeeping requirements.
You may ask Kindred Tails to correct or delete information you submitted. Some records may need to be retained when required for legitimate animal-care, safety, legal, financial, or operational purposes.

Donations and external payments
Third-party platforms process donations and sponsorships. Review the amount, frequency, designation, and provider terms before completing a transaction. Unless agreed in writing, a donation does not create ownership, decision-making authority, exclusive sponsorship rights, or guarantee that a particular animal or project receives a specific amount.
