Our story
It began with Mama.
One extraordinary cat changed the course of their lives—and inspired a sanctuary where every animal would be known, valued, protected, and loved.
The Founder’s Paw
The mark behind the mission—preserved from the cat who started it.
Our promise
Our mission
To provide compassionate rescue, rehabilitation, foster care, adoption, lifelong sanctuary when needed, and community support for animals in need.
Our vision
To become one of the Southeast’s most compassionate and innovative animal sanctuaries, where every life has value, every story matters, and every animal is treated like family.
How we grow
Rather than growing as quickly as possible, we are committed to growing responsibly so every animal entrusted to us receives exceptional care for generations to come.
The Kindred Blueprint
Building the future of Kindred.
Our long-term strategic plan brings rescue, lifelong sanctuary, community programs, education, science-informed care, partnerships, and responsible stewardship together into one organization designed to serve animals and the community for generations.
